A Manufacturing Method for a Low-Cost, Transport-Ready Latex Mattress

In modern home living, people are continually striving to enhance the quality of their daily lives, and latex mattresses have gradually become a staple in today’s market. These mattresses are typically packaged before sale; however, current packaging methods often involve simply placing the mattress directly into a bag and relying solely on the bag for protection, which can increase the risk of damage during transportation.

To address the shortcomings of existing technologies, our technical team has developed a manufacturing method for low-cost latex mattresses that is easy to transport. To achieve this objective, the method employs the following technical solution: a simplified production process for latex mattresses, comprising the following steps:
I. Procurement of Raw Materials: Select oak trees and collect latex in the range of 22,333,600 to 43,333,600; then drill a hole in the oak tree at a height of 70–100 centimeters above the ground and connect it using the collected latex.
II. Treatment of Mattress Raw Materials: To the latex raw material obtained in Step 1, add 6–9 parts of accelerator, 10–15 parts of antioxidant, 8–12 parts of thickener, 9–16 parts of oxidant, and 5–8 parts of foaming agent. Then place the mixture in a foaming machine and adjust the machine’s rotational speed to 50–90 revolutions per second, maintaining this speed for 5–10 minutes.
3. Latex gel: Add a heat-sensitive agent to the foaming latex raw material, then place the foaming latex raw material into a square mold measuring 200 cm in length, 180 cm in width, and 25 cm in height. Heat the mixture at high temperature for 10–15 minutes, and immediately remove the heated latex.
4. Latex Injection Molding: The cured latex product is cut using a cutting machine;
V. Mattress Trimming: Latex Mattress—Step 4 in the trimming process for the latex produced;
VI. Packaging of Latex Mattresses: The trimmed latex mattress is completely wrapped in plastic wrap, then placed in a bag and subsequently packed into a foam box. This new manufacturing process results in a latex mattress that is highly breathable, pleasantly soft, and conforming to the contours of the body, thereby enhancing sleep quality. Following production, proper packaging ensures effective protection of the mattress, preventing damage during transportation.
During the packaging process in Step 6, after the latex mattress is placed in a bag, the bag is evacuated to create a vacuum. The vacuum pump can completely remove the air inside the bag, reducing its volume and facilitating transportation. Prior to wrapping the mattress with plastic film, it must be cleaned to remove any contaminants adhering to its surface; such cleaning effectively prevents long-term sticking and the ingress of impurities into the latex mattress, thereby protecting the mattress surface from damage.
In summary, the novel manufacturing process for latex mattresses results in a product that is highly breathable, pleasantly soft and conforming to the body, thereby enhancing sleep quality. Following production, appropriate packaging is employed to protect the mattress and prevent damage during transportation.
